DIGNITANA CONTINUES U.S. GROWTH AND LAUNCHES INTEGRATION PROGRAM
Lund, Sweden—October 3, 2017—Dignitana AB, a world leader in medical scalp cooling technology and manufacturer of the DigniCap® Scalp Cooling System, announced today that five additional facilities in the U.S. will provide the system to their patients.
The new sites contracted to offer the DigniCap® Scalp Cooling System are:
- UCLA Medical Center, Santa Monica, California
- Dr. Fred Smith, RCCA – Chevy Chase, Chevy Chase, Maryland
- Mercy Cancer Center – C Street, Dignity Health, Sacramento, California
- Marin Cancer Care, Greenbrae, California
- Methodist Richardson Medical Center, Richardson, Texas
With these additions, the DigniCap® Scalp Cooling System is now available at 95 cancer centers in 21 states, helping thousands of patients each year minimize chemotherapy-induced hair loss.
To ensure a successful integration of the DigniCap® Scalp Cooling system, Dignitana has launched a Scalp Cooling Clinical Integration Program to provide comprehensive and ongoing training and support to clinical partners.
“Integrating new technology into any medical facility requires planning, precision and clinical preparation,” said Bill Cronin, CEO, Dignitana Inc. “We have developed the Scalp Cooling Clinical Integration Program to provide comprehensive and ongoing training and support to our clinical partners so they are able to easily and efficiently integrate this medical procedure into their daily routines.
The program was initiated over the summer based on experience and feedback from Dignitana's first year in the U.S. market. It is utilized for the launch of all new sites offering DigniCap.
“The integration program has been well-received and is in line with our goal of working directly with clinicians to provide the best possible treatment results. Patients, clinicians and our organization will benefit from these efforts in the long run," Cronin concludes.
